OMG, YES. This! This has also driven me away. They're treating us, the viewers as if we all have the same attention spans of gnats. I blame this in part on the time delay. If this were being held in US time-zones, they sort of get forced to show thing in some semblance of order.

And yes. Yes, the British IP thing? Soooooooo true.

And I totally share your frustration with how much they ignore any athlete who isn't from the US. You know what they did to the Russian women's gymnastics team? Those women took the Silver medal. SILVER. THEY DID A GREAT JOB. And which routines did NBC show? Perhaps the uneven bars where they trounced the US women's scores (except for Gabby's, naturally)? No. No, they ONLY showed the Russians making mistakes on their floor routine and they took gleeful close-ups of their tear-stained faces as they sobbed into their coach's chest.

I wanted to punch them. I wanted to punch them in their fucking faces because these girls are so fucking young and don't deserve that crap.

And they couldn't do worse than that, can they?

Oh, yes. Yes they can.

They then put words in USA woman team's mouths.

They then insinuate that team USA, who was stepping up to their floor routine must now be thinking about, "Kicking them while they're already on the floor crying".

UN. FUCKING. BELIEVABLE.

HOW DARE YOU PUT THOSE HORRIFICALLY, UNFORGIVABLY UNSPORTSMANLIKE WORDS IN THE MOUTHS OF TEAM USA GYMNASTS??????!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gasped, literally /could not believe/. I've never met those girls but I cannot fathom how any one of them, the same girls who'd just won gold and shook hands, patting the Russian girls on the shoulder, not one them ever saying something so crude and cruel.

Fuck you NBC. FUCK YOU.
