Floor Woes
Nov. 5th, 2013 09:55 amWoe is me.
It was my wish to redo the floors--the tiles are cracked--before moving in to my new townhouse. I do not have enough money. I've got about $3,000 and do not wish to take out any more credit. The floor would cost me at around $6000, if not more. I could pay for most of it and then pay the rest in installments, but I ALSO need a fridge and I ALSO need the hot water pipe fixed and the venting cleaned and the locks changed and I need to pay a mover to move my stuff. So on and so on and so on.
Long short: I can't afford to replace the floor.
I can buy some cheap rugs and put those down to cover the worst of it. It's not cracked so much as to cause tripping hazards, nor have any pieces come up. I won't be able to save enough money to replace the floor until I get myself a roommate.
I'm gonna call my homeowner's insurance people and have them come out, do their thing. Clean carpets, yada yada. Then the movers.
UNIVERSE, WHERE'S MY MILLION DOLLARS?!
