Don't got much money. My job, while not the worst in the world, isn't a bundle of laughs. What's a girl to do?

All these negative motivators don't motivate me. I need positive goals, positive reinforcement! The last project I completed that I was SUPER proud of is my TARDIS dress. Not to negate my cool Doctor/Lolita, but I love my TARDIS dress. I struggled with that, almost gave up, but I have 1) a clear vision and 2) a deadline that held a promising reward.

Thus, I'm setting a clear goal: have the erotica story I've got in my head available for online purchase by the San Diego Comic-Con. Mainly because, how awesome would it be to have little business cards I can hand out to people showcasing my super-sexy-vampire-erotica-going-to-college book they can download for all of $ some-single-digit-number? I'm a consumer whore, but I may as well appear as a PRODUCTIVE consumer whore. And I happen to be sharing a hotel room with an amazing fan artist who has a booth in Artist's Ally. She remembers me as "The Loud One." How awesome will it be to be all, "You have awesome, creative art! Not only am I LOUD, I have awesome, creative romantic erotica! Here's my card. "

That is an awesome, positive, Vision Oriented Goal!

Now with vision, direction, I can move towards that goal. This thing doesn't have to be Great. Doesn't even really need to be all that Good. It needs to be Fun and Sexy and DONE.

So. I have a word count goal. Work demands OT all this week, so sadly, it's not as though I'm going to get much done M-Th when I have 11 hour days. I think I'm just going to set a goal of typing up 100 words written long-hand (my first chapter/section is complete, but only on paper) every work day this week. Friday, I work normal hours, so I'm going to set a goal of 1.000 new words as part of the story and on Saturday and Sunday, 3.000 words each. When this awful overtime is over, I'll up the count every weekday to 1.000 words. That's a lot of words, but not even a NaNoWriMo level. The main thing is, it's achievable. If I write 33.000 words in April and May, I will have myself a sexy novella. That will leave a month and 1/2 for editing and publishing. Not great, but it should be enough.

Anywho, enough rambling about what I want to do, time to get it done! Last night, I wrote up a 1100 word character/plot "Outline" (Rant). The planets have aligned and the phones aren't working at full capacity at work, which means I can get lots typed up this morning. Already have more of my outline done. Gonna outline a sex scene I thought up last night, in prep to write it in full over this weekend.

effex has been amazing, sharing her stories of starting college and being all-around super helpful! I am a grateful, lucky friend.

Edit: Yesterday, I was able to write up 3 pages of outline, longhand, while phones were down at work. More than makes up for not typing up anything at home later.
