Life and Job and Boring House Stuff

I went to an interview with a car-dealership call-center. Ugh. More of the same of the sales stuff I've done before in my previous sales position here at my current employer; I can't put up with that, not if it doesn't pay more money. They did their best to avoid answering the "how-much-pay" is reasonable.
Then I attended the HOA meeting for my complex. Ugh. Almost everyone was a crotchety old person, yelling about who-had-been-there-longer. It took place in the clubhouse which was flooded in the massive storm from two weeks ago. When I moved in, someone had mentioned that they'd been to a wedding reception in the clubhouse and that it was 'really nice'. My GOD. It is hideously outdated. Carpet-on-the-walls outdated. I've no idea what their fees have gone to all these 30 years, given everything in the complex is falling apart and from 3 decades ago. At least the two dudes presiding had their heads on their shoulders and seem to be doing all they can to keep the place in working order without raising the fees--especially because the fees for this complex are actually much higher than other, newer places with good facilities. From what I can tell, it's only been in the past few years that any effort to do simple shit--like replacing the roofs, or the crumbling fence/wall between my house and the neighbor's--has been undertaken. The tennis court is cracked through and crumbling. With 124 complexes at $ 220/mo fees, they should have at minimum $300,000 a year to play with so I genuinely don't understand why they have been struggling. It also seems that a bunch of these old-timers are paid off/up on their places and the only fees they pay to their homes are the HOA fees.
Noveling: I wrote about half a page of noveling. Steady, but too slow of progress.
Tonight: major goal is to, once again, apply for a job. Sent out at least one application.
