You know, there are two kinds of reader/writers:
Those who pick up Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and say, “What a classic”.
And then there are those who say, “This is good, but you know what would make this better? Zombies.”
Guess which are my kind of people.
I just picked up Pride and Prejudice and Zombies from the local store o’books and have no idea if it lives up to its potential. Will read, and hopefully provide a review later on.
I start a temp job tomorrow. This may end well, may end in tears . . . who knows. At least my pimp at the temp agency, Tammy, knows I’m like solid gold. She also totally understood when I informed her that I would not be working over days of Comic-Con.
Am debating whether or not I want to expend the effort of running up to LA for the 4th of July to experience the festivities with my cousin. I’m starting to lean towards ‘not’, because hotels will be expensive, as will gas. Traffic will suck. Parking will suck. I have only a vague idea where things will be going down, and to top it all off, he’ll be here in San Diego come the 17th, and will be visiting my sister, Raphie, the baby, and me. Soooooo, for the barely employed with not much money, this trip might be too much of a hassle, too expensive. : (
Toodles.
