nepentheNo sign of Bunny on the walk around. This morning will be dedicated to the discovery of who is eating from the fud dish. I've got food out. No music or tv or radio or any other sound device will be playing so I can concentrate on the soft sound of cats nomming. I'll also be sitting near the door w/ my shoes on, just in case.
Read a nice article yesterday about how indoor cats who don't have any experience of the Outside will run, but not much further than a 'five house' radius. That it's true that over time, they might venture further (when they're hungry) but you can combat this by leaving food out. They try and reassure you that no, your cat does not prefer to be cold and scared or possibly hurt; instinct tells them to run and hide and not leave their hiding spot, not leave it for anything, not even the sound of you or noms. They write that cats who are like that often won't venture out until week 2 or 3, and that sometimes the best way to catch your kitty is with a cat trap. Saw a guy at the shelter with a cat trap the other day and had the same thought.. If it turns out the fud nomming cat is Bunny, but I can't get her to come inside, I might resort to cat trapping.
In other news, my dishwasher isn't working :(
